The best male singer that J & S had on their books was Clarence Ashe, but I would rate this one-off The Dream I Had Came True as my favourite 45 on the label. Full of righteous fire the duo really cut loose on a fine New York ballad. The horn support works well and there is some good organ and guitar fills in the background too. But who were Dicky & Billy?
